Much of the village’s economic base centers on the summer tourism industry, which sees approximately 1.5 million visitors annually. Boating is a major source of income for the community with an estimated 80% of all Illinois boat sales coming from the Fox Lake area. The median value of a home in Fox Lake is $262,689.
