    Located on the top right is a section entitled FEATURES. When the word SCHOLARSHIPS is selected a student may complete either an Advanced or Quick search.
  • CareerCruising
    Career Cruising is a comprehensive interactive career reference guide available on the Internet. It provides: an interest assessment, in depth occupation profiles, multimedia informational interviews, comprehensive college and university information and career portfolio tool and resume builder You must enter the user name, "grant" , and password "community", to enter the program.

    The Fund Finder (also known as the Explain Scholarship Search) is a free scholarship search located on this site.  Students should check out the Paying for College section. 

  • CollegeNet
    This site uses the Mach 25 database (Wintergreen Orchard House Database) for its profile and key word scholarship searches.
  • FastWeb
    This site contains the most used free scholarship search.
  • FinAid
    Although this site links the student to Fast Web for a scholarship search, some of the other scholarship information it contains is not easily found in other sites. Check out the site map under Scholarships and Other Types of Aid. There is a limited list of scholarships by major or course of study and under Other Types of Aid there are lists of sources for disabled, female, minority and other specific groups of students.

    Variety of scholarships for students of Hispanic heritage, must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  • Merit Aid Scholarships
    MeritAid.com is a comprehensive directory of merit-based scholarships, with awards from thousands of colleges. It is free for students. Select "Search by College Name" and "View the Directory" to link to scholarships.

    This has a scholarship search for specific colleges all over the US. 

  • Northern Illinois University Scholarship Search
    Students planning to attend Northern Illinois University are encouraged to complete this scholarship search.  It allows students to learn about and apply to the various scholarship programs at Northern.

  • QuestBridge
    Seniors of all races and ethnicities who have demonstrated academic excellence in the face of economic obstacles are encouraged to apply for the QuestBridge program at www.questbridge.org  before the end of September. Many recipients are first generation college students. QuestBridge is a non for profit organization that connects outstanding low income students with college opportunities.  They do this in two ways: First, the College Match program pairs outstanding low-income students with early admission and full four-year scholarships to top-ranked colleges. Finally, the Regular Decision Program allows qualified students to apply to partner colleges free of charge using the QuestBridge application.
  • Scholarship Scams
    If you have to pay money to get money, it's probably a scam.  In general, be wary of scholarships with an application fee, scholarship matching services who guarantee success, advance-fee loan scams and sales pitches disguised as financial aid "seminars" online.
  • Scholarships.com This site uses a simple and interesting format to present scholarship information. It does contain a scholarship search and a whole lot more.  By accessing the site map, students can see lists of sweepstakes & contests, minority scholarships, grants, corporate scholarships and large dollar amount awards. Under Financial Aid Tips there is a list of Do’s & Don’ts for scholarship applications. Parents will really appreciate the many financial calculators located in the Calculator section.

    This site contains a scholarship search as well as other helpful information on college search topics.
